da YUNFA - Latin & Techhouse DJ (for English scroll down) De DJ naam vertelt gelijk wat ze draait; muziek met een energieke vibe die onweerstaanbaar is voor dancers. Yunfa is namelijk Cubaans muziekjargon voor de opzwepende vibe in de muziek. Haar draaistijl is swingend en passioneel, met het juiste gevoel voor wat het aanwezige publiek nodig heeft. De sets zijn nooit hetzelfde en voor ieder evenement wordt een specifieke muziekselectie gecreëerd. Gespecialiseerd in het draaien van de juiste mix op het juiste moment. Als liefhebber van goede muziek laat ze zich dan ook niet leiden door 1 stijl, genre, of land van afkomst van muziek.
DJ da YUNFA heeft meerdere specialisaties:
* Latin en Afrolatin mix aangepast per evenement: salsa/zouk/merengue/bachata/reggaetón/samba/kizomba. Muziek van nu gemixt met salsa uit 50`s, 60`s, 70`s, 80`s, etc.. da YUNFA`s draaistijl is gevarieerd en afwisselend en creëert daarmee een gezellige sfeer voor iedereen. Swing!

DJ da YUNFA started dj’ing around the year 2000 as a salsa DJ. After some years she has extended her DJ skills with beatmixing and turntablism and started playing dance music. As she likes the variation, which keeps her on ..the edge.; she puts a lot of fun in preparing a set specially for each event. Even stuff like Latin Jazz and Bossa can be part of a set (if it fits in!) She might surprise you with the special yunfa touch and music selection. And due to her starting off as a successful dj in the latin scene, sparkling latin sounds stirring up the vibe are almost inevitable, and you might end up in that steamy, rythms that keeps them bodies moving ???.
Da YUNFA what does that mean?
YUNFA = Cuban slang from the music scene for music with energy, stirring up the vibe. "da" stands for disc amazona (so not a disc jockey as she is a woman) with a wink towards american streetslang as pronounciation of ..The.. (emphasized).
da YUNFA`s DJ background:
While being a fanatic salsera for some 10 years, she took her first DJ steps in the salsa scene and other parties 6 years ago, and grew out quickly into a professional salsa/samba/carribbean & afro/urban dj, where she is now performing at the top level. She performs in clubs, for the best salsa dance schools (e.g. Salsaventura) on festivals and private and business parties.
Next to the special YUNFA vibe she provides in her latin dancemusic mix, she..s on top of the latest releases. but will also make you aware about the interesting `good old stuff`. Next to feeling exactly what the dancepublic at the event needs, one of her specialties is Cuban timba, the newest salsa from Cuba which is very popular amongst the young people and dancers (so any Cuban!) in Cuba. Also she loves to spin danceable rumba (afro religion based Cuban music) influenced salsa, . As da YUNFA is a dancing girl herself, she knows what the dance addicts need to enjoy the music and tempts them to show their best stuff!..
Brazilian music, samba, zouk/lambada, is also one of the hit specialties at a variety of events where DJ da YUNFA is spinning...
